Work on Kern County Union High School's Harvey Auditorium began in 1940 but had to be suspended after 1941 due to wartime rationing of building materials. It was completed following the war, in 10/1948. It contained a main auditorium/theatre space, two smaller theatrical facilities, and some classrooms.
The Harvey Auditorium was completed following the death of its architect, Charles H. Biggar (1882-1946), in 1948. Tel: 661.325.6100 (2011).
