The San Francisco Design Center (SFDC), in 2011, had three facilities available for rental: the Galleria (for receptions of approximately 1800 people and smaller), Concourse (for large scale exhibitions and receptions) and 600 Townsend (for relatively small-scale conferences). The 600 Townsend Street Building had 3,300 square feet, space suited to "business meetings, seminars, auctions, [and] small parties" according to the SFDC's web site. Utilizing movable walls, the space could be subdivided into two spaces of 2,300 and 1,000 square feet each. (See "600 Townsend Info,"Accessed 09/16/2011.) This facility was located on the southwest corner of 7th Street and Townsend Street, directly behind the SFDC's Concourse facility at 635 8th Street.
