In 2011, the San Francisco Design Center had several facilities: the Galleria (a four-story exhibition and reception space), the Concourse (a 125,000-square-foot exhibition and reception space) and 600 Townsend Street (a 3,300-square-foot conference area). The Concourse's interior was configured in three parts, with a tall gable-roofed portion flanked symmetrically by shed-roofed wings. A series of metal trusses supported the roof over the main portion; the truss was supported on either side by two rows of redwood columns located at the point where the gable and shed roofed sections met. Each column had two diagonal members jutting out toward the top, the junction of the three parts tied together with metal collars. Walls of glass, glazed clerestories and skylights admitted large amounts of light into the interior. 11 roll-up garage doors enabled easy loading and unloading of equipment. The space could be divided in half for two separate functions, each having its own doors. Five thousand guests could be served for dinners or 6,800 for receptions. had one main floor with 117,800 square feet and a mezzanine floor with 7,200 square feet.
