Baroness Rosa Von Zimmerman erected this ornate residence in 1903 and second building to house her art collection in 1904. She sold it to Southern California pioneer William H. Perry in 06/1905, who purchased the property for $75,000. The dwelling was one of 20 erected in the Saint James Park sub-division, of which 16 were demolished. The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) removed many of the area's residence to build its University Park School.
