This house has been credited to Craig Ellwood (1922-1992) and Jerrold E. Lomax (b. 1927), the latter long overlooked as a key designer with the Ellwood office.

The house was purchased by Albert, a real estate executive, and Holly Baril, a former agent for the William Morris Agency, c. 2010. They solicited the assistance of mid-century design expert Michael Boyd and Johnston Marklee Architects to renovate the house, adding a pool cabana to the one-acre property. The design for the cabana was influenced by Case Study House #16.
