According to G. Z. Brown and Mark DeKay, authors of Sun, Wind and Light, "The Lane Energy Center in Cottage Grove, Oregon, by Equinox Design, Incorporated, uses an aluminized roofing material to reflect winter sunlight into the building clerestory. The sunlight is reflected from the building's ceiling down to the concrete floor and the water barrels on the rear wall for heat storage." (See G. Z.
