A row of approximately 11 shops were housed in a line of one-story, wood-frame buildings located at 3rd Avenue and James Street. In 1889, the Lowman and Hanford Stationery and Printing Company, the firm of Hardy and Hall and that of Albert Schlossmacher occupied storefronts in this line of shops.
