This bakery, founded in 1856, closed in 08/2005. It had been in the Giraudo Family, owners of the city's Boudin Bakery, but they sold it to another company in 1993, who, in turn, sold it to the huge Interstate Bakeries Corporation. It was Interstate that shut the Parisian Bakery and the Potrero Hill Wonder Bread/Hostess Bakery in mid-2005 due to rising costs. Additionally, both bakeries had union-affiliated labor forces.
