Building History
The Spokane architectural firm of Cutter and Malmgren opened a Seattle office in 1907, and this office designed the Clubhouse for the Seattle Golf and Country Club in 1908-1909. The Chicago architect, Andrew C.P. Willatzen (1876-1974), who had previously worked in the Frank Lloyd Wright Studio in Oak Park, IL, came to Seattle in 1908 to supervise construction of this golf club commission. Willatzen would remain in the city for the rest of his long life.
