During the construction of the Grays Harbor Brewing Company's Aberdeen, WA, facilities in 11/1901, the Seattle, WA-based brewer, Alvin Hemrich, part of the Hemrich Brother's brewing family, purchased it and recapitalized it as the Aberdeen Brewing Company c. 1902. He operated this business until the effects of Prohibition (instituted in 1920) became crippling in 1923.
