Dinah's Shack, long a roadside fixture on El Camino Real, closed c. 1993, and was demolished c. 1997; it's memorabilia--featuring a smiling "Aunt Jemima" portrait--is actively collected by those interested in African-Americana; a Trader Vic's Restaurant opened on this site in 11/2001;
