The insurance company began operation in this new facility on 06/17/1957, with a formal building dedication occurring on 07/09/1957. The cost of the first phase of construction totaled $4.5 million.
Fireman's Fund Insurance Company moved into this building in the Laurel Heights Neighborhood of San Francisco, CA, c. 1955. It previously occupied a building designed in 1908 by the noted San Francisco architecture firm of Bakewell and Brown.
