This housing tract contained a little more than 100 acres and was located, according to the Los Angeles Times of 10/23/1905 announced it to be located "...between Eighth and Fourteenth streets, and is just south of the Southern Pacific tracks. Michigan and Pennsylvania Avenues running east and west and all numbered streets from north to south...." In late 10/1905, this tract was receiving oiled streets, paved sidewalks, curbs and gutters. Shade trees and palms were also to be planted. The tract owners announced that they would spend $30,000 on these improvements.
