Building History
It was through this commission, that coal magnate Robert Dunsmuir became acquainted with the work of Warren Heywood Williams, a Portland, OR, architect. Dunsmuir would subsequently commssion his huge residence, Craigdarroch Castle (1887-1890) on a 28-acre hilltop in Victoria, BC.

In 2011, the Banker and Bard Pub occupied a storefront in the Bank of British Columbia Building.
