This school occupied land once owned by Hollywood figures, Jack and Virginia Conway, both of whom were actors in the silent era. He also became a noted director and producer. The Conway Estate, known as All Hollows Farm, was later owned by actress Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddied Fisher in the 1950s. The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) obtained the land through eminent domain in the late 1950s. The Palisades Charter High School opened in 1961.
