Peter DeLaurenti opened his specialty food shop in 1947, selling cheeses, pasta, Mediterranean meats and condiments. He sold the store to his son, Lou, in 1973, who has continued to operate it in Pike Place Market. Peter DeLaurenti died on Mercer Island, WA, 12/01/1996, at the age of 88.
