Schack and Young designed this Art Deco apartment house near the end of their firm's existence. The Baroness Apartments on First Hill, by the same firm, was also Art Deco in style but was erected a year later.

Martha Ann LLC bought the block on 06/04/2008 for $470,530; it had an assessed value for tax purposes of $1,765,000 in 2010.
