Building History

One of his earlier works, Seattle architect Paul Thiry (1904-1993) designed and erected this apartment building in 1929-1930. The Castlewood Apartments had 12 units arranged on 3 floors. For this design, Thiry blend period revival and Art Deco elements to create an original synthesis.
