Known by various names, this restaurant, featuring fried chicken, was owned an African-American couple, Virgil and Pearl Sexton, and served all races in the 1940s-1950s, a rarity in Spokane, WA, at the time. Virgil and Pearl opened the restaurant c. 1942, the former dying a few years later. Pearl remarried David Anderson and continued operating the establishment, known for its late-night dancing. She and her husbands lived in a residence next door on Wiscomb Street.
The restaurant was also known as "Virgil's Inn."
