In 1928, the NE 47th Street was known as "East 47th Street."

In 1928, the College Center Building housed various specialty stores targeted at students at the nearby University of Washington. Stores in 12/1928 included: Bentley's Ladies' Furnishings, Year Round Dress Shop, Sparrow's Nest Book Shop, College Center Beauty Shop, Distinctive Gift Shop, Hale Tea Room, College Center Candy Shop, Exquisite Toiletries Shop, Mayrand Hat Shop and Fishers' Fine Apparel.
