Theodore and Guendolen Plestcheef, a cosmopolitan pair who had lived in Paris, France, before moving to Seattle, WA, in 1931, following the death of Morgan L. Carkeek, Mrs. Plestcheef's father. Morgan Carkeek occupied an elevated position in Seattle society, and built a conspicuous mansion at 918 Boren Avenue in Seattle. From this house, the couple reused the iron front gates for the entrance to this waterfront property.
