Donald F. Burr and Associates designed an events center to be covered by a teflon-coated fiberglass sheet mounted on a concrete ring attached to an earthen berm. Cables would run through the fabric to provide the spanning support. This events center was to contain 30,000 square feet of clear span space, with a maximum height of 34 feet. Cost was an outrageously low $12 per square foot.
