Building History

This house in New Haven, CT, was designed by the peripatetic architect Charles W. Moore (1925-1993) when he was Dean of the Architecture School at Yale University. Moore designed it fin collaboration with Professor Everett M. Barber, a Yale faculty member and head of Sunworks, Incorporated, of Guilford, CT, a manufacturer of solar power collectors in 1974-1975. The most notable feature about this house was its emphasis of passive and active solar energy collection.
