This plant, in its earliest years, produced 8-panel doors and millwork items to order. By the early 1920s, the company was beginning to mass-produce plywood.
Alterations were made to the plant in 1920 to allow for the introduction of plywood production equipment, including a 10-foot lathe, a cold press, glue spreaders, Proctor dryer and Yates-American sander. Tools, such as dryers, belt-sanders, and panel cut-off saws, were built by engineers and mechanics within the factory.
