Charles Luckman had a friendship with Conrad Hilton that resulted in several designs for Hilton Hotels around the world, including this important design in the rebuilding Berlin. When Luckman relocated his primary residence from New York, NY, to Los Angeles, CA, Hilton bought his 35th-floor apartment. Harriet Luckman, Charles's wife, selected Conrad Hilton's Mediterranean house in Bel Air to move to from New York.
