The Bethany Lutheran Church began its operations in 1920; after the original congregation moved out, other church groups occupied the facility until 1970, when the Seattle Times bought it. Between 1970-1977, the Times leased it to the Salvation Army and an African-American evangelical group, the Showers of Blessing Tabernacle. In 06/1977, Joy and Bill Wood received a lease to open the Seattle Concert Theatre, a small venue (seating about 400) hosting acoustic musical groups of various kinds. In 1977, the Northwest Chamber Orchestra, Seattle Brass Ensemble, Musica Viva, Seattle Soloists, and Pacific Lutheran University Faculty all scheduled events at the Seattle Concert Theatre. The Seattle Early Music Guild also held concerts here.

The 400 theatre seats for the Seattle Concert Theatre came from the Roxy Theatre in Longview, WA.

Demolished; in 2009, it was functioning as parking lot;
