The magazine Western Architect and Engineer (which went by the short abbreviation A & E), had offices on the 9th floor of the Hancock Building in 01/1961. McGraw-Hill Publishing Company operated its headquarters on the 9th floor as well. Massive columns support this granite office building's rectilinear bulk; windows were framed in bronze.
