Building History

Erected in 1889, the three-story, brick Phoenix Hotel #2 stood on the northeast corner of Washington Street and 2nd Avenue South.

Building Notes

In 1910, the Phoenix Hotel #2 contained three, first-floor shops on 2nd Avenue South, the corner location occupied by a barber shop and bath house. On the second floor, the M. Hee Wo Chinese Medicine Company maintained its store. At this time, the Lexington Hotel stood next door.
