This large-scale project promised to give West Seattle a "downtown" retail center; it consisted of two large buildings, one 7 stories, the other, 4. The boundaries of the site were California Avenue, SW Alaska Street and 42nd Street SW. The project was planned to contain first-floor retail and upper-floor condominiums. In 08/2011, tenants of rental property on the southeast corner of Alaska Junction, got a letter from the developer, Charlie Conner, informing them that the project was going to be sold to another developer. Plans drawn up by the Seattle architecture firm, Weber + Thompson, would be included in the sale. At this time, construction was not expected to start until mid-2012 at the earliest.
