The Mann Building occupied the northwest corner of 3rd Avenue and Union Street.

Henry W. Bittman (1882-1953), a prolific Seattle architect/engineer, designed the Mann Building with terra cotta Gothic Revival ornamentation. The Embassy Theatre had an entrance at 1401 3rd Avenue; another entrance to the Mann Building existed at 216 Union Street.
