This grandly-scaled Jacobethan mansion was built in the 1930s and deeded to Dominican nuns. In 2009, the order offered the property to the City of Woodway for its use as a new City Hall and Community Center. Woodway city officials hoped to raise money in a $6.1 million bond measure, but it failed to garner the needed 60% majority on 08/18/2009. Opponents thought the property was too expensive and showy for the community.
This rambling estate overlooked Puget Sound.
