According to the Los Angeles Daily Journal of 12/15/1909 (page 2, column 1): "A residence of Spanish design is to be built at Hollywood for Cerf Weyl that will cover 60 by 75 feet. It will have hollow tile walls bonded to frame plaster exterior, concrete foundations, and tile roof. There will be eleven rooms in the two stories. Plans by Dennis & Farwell..."
