California Polytechnic School Cottages 1, 2 and 3 (later known as Buildings 085, 086, 087) were all designed by the California State Architects, Sellon and Hemmings in 1908. The total square footage of all three wood-frame cottages was 6,097 square feet or 2032.33 per unit. The three buildings cost $24,000 or $8,000 each. One of the bungalows housed California Polytechnic School President, Leroy Burns Smith (1908-1914).
