Built in the early 1850s, the Golden Lion Inn was one of Stockton, CA's earliest boarding houses; new ownership renamed the place, "Columbia House" in 1861.

This 2-floor boarding house served a booming gold rush clientele. It was a wood-framed, gable roofed building with a two-floor porch on its front facade.

Demolished by fire on 08/14/1909.
