Arthur Chang represented the Freiheit and Ho firm on this sorry effort.

This feebly designed mixed-use condominium project replaced the landmarked Manning's/Denny's Building that, despite being voted a Seattle Historic Landmark, was demolished. In 2009, this complex containing five and eight story condominium buildings and ground floor shops, was set to add 330 units to Ballard's glut of apartment spaces. Market Street Landing underscored the need for serious controls to be placed on development frenzies in certain over-built Seattle neighborhoods. While there will be inhabitants to fill up these Ballard mixed-use complexes eventually, too much was allowed to be built too fast, at the expense of Ballard's historic character.
