This was an early home of the American Football League's Oakland Raiders, built on the site of the former Exposition Field. Work on the no-frills, $400,000 stadium began November 16, 1961, and continued until work was completed by the team's first home game, August 26, 1962, against the San Diego Chargers. Youell Field accommodated about 22,000 on bleacher seats, and operated as the Raider's home field between 1962-1965. This stadium had on-site parking for 2,200 vehicles.

Oakland, CA, competed with nearby San Jose, CA, for the opportunity of getting the Raiders to play in their city. San Jose offered the use of Spartan Stadium at the San Jose State College.

Demolished.
