Building History

Fresno Air Terminal began as a civilian facility after the close of World War II. It became an "International Point of Entry" in 1988 and had a name change to the present "Fresno Yosemite International Airport" in 1995.

This airport provides passenger service to the city of Fresno, CA; the California Air National Guard also occupies two parcels of land on airport property; planners located it 6 miles northeast of the city; the previous passenger airport was Fresno Chandler Field. Tel: 559.621.4500 (2009);
