This 48-story, 695-foot tall building was originally planned to be a mixed-use, office and apartment building; instead of condominiums, a hotel was built to occupy its top 11 stories. In 2008, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel operated at the top of the 345 California Street Center.
Located mid-block, the 345 California Center was surrounded by historic properties on 4 corners, the J.H. Dollar Building, Robert Dollar Building, 220 Sansome Street Building and 200 Pine Street Building.
