Morse (1842-19??), a co-founder of the Ferry-Morse Seed Company in Santa Clara, CA, built this large Queen Anne Style dwelling for his wife, Maria Josephine Victoria Langford Morse, and their 5 children. Born in Maine, Morse migrated to CA during the Gold Rush, did a number of jobs, and settled into the seed business which he founded with a Methodist minister.
