Frank and Harriet Vail lived in this house in 1920 with their two children, Virginia and Frank, Jr. Frank Vail was a merchant wholesaling stationery; his daughter, Virginia Vail Keating, became the long-time Marin County Librarian.

Demolished c. 1961; the Vail House was removed to make room for an addition to the Wade Thomas School.
