The Sperry Chalet consists of two buildings: a dormitory and central dining hall. The Sperry Dormitory had rubble walls, rough-hewn log balconies and a shake roof. It contained 23 guest rooms originally. It was on one of four designed for the Saint Paul-based Great Northern Railway in Glacier National Park; they included the Sperry Dining Hall and Dorm, Many Glacier Hotel (Thomas D. McMahon, architect), Granite Chalet (Samuel L. Bartlett, architect) and Two Medicine Store (Samuel L. Bartlett, architect).
