The Civilian Conservation Corps built this campground in the 1930s; it was later renamed for Jessie M. Honeyman (1852-1948), President of the Oregon Roadside Council, an organization devoted to preserving the Oregon coastline. Camp Woahink's name was changed to honor Ms. Honeyman on 07/12/1941.
The CCC Camp was named for one of two, small, freshwater lakes on the property. Tel: (541) 997-3641 (2008);
