Tod Williams and Billie Tsien were awarded the $30,000 Arup World Architecture Award for the Best New Building of 2001; this prize was bestowed by World Architecture (London, UK) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). They also received the Brendan Gill Prize by the Municipal Art Society, New York, NY, for the American Folk Art Museum.
