Daly/Genik remodeled an aircraft testing plant in Downtown Pasadena, creating a new facility to house Art Center's public presentations, Archetype Press, a printing lab, an exhibition space, and graduate student work spaces. The project had a relatively low cost, $15 million, and the budget necessitated the use of inexpensive finishes and continuation of the building's industrial aesthetic.
The 16,000-square-foot exhibition space of the South Campus was called the "Wind Tunnel," for its former usage in testing airplane parts.
