This school, opened 01/04/1967 to serve the State of Washington's youngest criminal offenders, both boys and girls. Students lived on the 160-acre campus in 13 cottages. This state facility replaced schools operated by the Seattle Public Schools, Luther Burbank School (boys) and Martha Washington School (girls).
