Booker T. Washington, the well-known African-American educator and President of the Tuskeegee Institute, spoke at this church on 03/23/1914. This was one of three venues Washington lectured at in Riverside during this visit, the others being the 2nd Baptist Church and the Mission Inn's Music Room.
