In 2008, the Edgewater Hotel, a favorite with visiting cruise ship tourists, had 223 rooms. Average cost for an overnight stay at this time was about $300. Tel: (206) 728-7000 (2008);

From 07/18/2008-07/21/2008, the Edgewater Hotel accidentally pumped raw sewage into Elliott Bay, due to corrosion of an 8-inch pipe under Pier 67. Brackets holding the effluent pipe to the pier broke, dropping the pipe into the bay. Seattle Public Utilities speculated that it would take approximately a week to fix.
