This steel-frame high-rise was designed to add space to the neighboring Cabrini Hospital. The original hospital was torn down in the mid-1990s, but the severe Modernist tower of 1973 has remained.
Building History
This 19-story building first served as an addition to the Cabrini Hospital located next door. (The Cabrini Hospital was built as the Hotel Perry in 1907, and demolished in 1995.) The Cabrini Medical Tower Project was intended to include 3 buildings--2 medical buildings and a parking garage; only 1 tower and the garage were built.
In 2018, the Cabrini Medical Tower consisted of a two-story outpatient surgical center and 15-stories of medical offices. It was owned by Suhrco Management Incorporated; land and building had an appraised value by the King County Department of Assessment of 48,819,000 in 2018, up from $21,614,900 in 2008, $12,200,000 in 2008 and $8,875,900 in 1988. Building Notes
In 2018, the Cabrini Medical Tower occupied a 30,720-square-foot (0.71-acre) lot. It contained 319,911 gross square feet, 139,366 net. The building had an adjacent, six-story, 156,407-square-foot parking garage. The garage had space for 400 vehicles.
