The Honolulu real estate investment firm, Autopark USA, sold the .3-acre garage property to the Intercorp subsidiary, Stewart and Second LLC, for $6,875,000 on 01/23/2007; prior to this, Autopark USA bought the property from George K. and Tom T. Kodama 09/01/1989 for $2,750,000.
This reinforced concrete, 3-story garage was built in 1926. It contained 38,880 square feet. Parcel #: 1977200950
The Westport, CT-based developer, Intercorp Development LLC, proposed tearing this garage down first in 2006 for a 240-foot condominium; later, in 2008, as market conditions and zoning regulations for the site changed, Intercorp proposed erecting a 400-foot apartment skyscraper.
