This street mural was created through a $2,000 grant by the City of Seattle to the Street Smart Art program. This program aimed to direct the energy of young artists into creating street murals rather than random graffiti.

The City of Seattle inadvertantly covered over this mural after it was partially tagged with graffiti. In 07/2008, Surface Cleaning Technologies, LLC, used a mineral spray applied at low pressure to remove the last layer applied by the City of Seattle Utilities Department.
